Going up: New maintenance building

You won’t see it from Lakeview Road or any of our camp entrances, but deep in our 144 acres, God is blessing us in a new way.

maintenance sticjyThis fall, a new maintenance building has taken shape in woods off Burma Trail, behind Paint Ball Hill and the residences. This 2,500-square-foot facility will allow us to consolidate operations in one site — a garage, workshop, storage and construction area all in one out-of-sight location.

The building is being constructed by staff and volunteers, mostly using lumber milled on-site from camp trees using a sawmill purchased through donations a year ago.  The trusses, which arrived this week, were donated one at a time by guests at our annual dinner auction in November.

If you’d like to help out with the building’s construction, email Facilities Director Chris Ripp. To donate toward the project, call the office at (518) 883-3713 or email the office.
