COVID-19 Update

SAC Cover CampDoc 1

To our family and friends of Sacandaga Bible Conference,

We wanted to let you know that the staff at Sacandaga Bible Conference are praying for you all and that you and your loved ones are staying healthy during this COVID-19 coronavirus. The health and safety of our campers and guests is our number one priority. We currently have no events or programs on the schedule for the next month but are looking ahead to our summer camp program.
First, I want to assure parents and guest that while Sacandaga tries to maintain a clean and healthy environment we will also be implementing some extra measures to disinfect high use contact surfaces. As a registered Children’s Camp we also are inspected and follow protocol from our local Department of Health. During the summer we have a Health Director on site and screen our campers for any illnesses before admitting them to camp.
Second, I want to assure everyone of our cancellation and refund policy. For our summer campers: If we were to have to make a decision to cancel a summer camp program, the camper or customer would receive a full refund. If you the camper or customer should choose to cancel, the normal cancellation policy is applicable. Which means you would not get your deposit back but you could move or reschedule your registration.
Third, we do want to share our excitement for our upcoming summer program. We are making lots of exciting plans for this summer. Our program team, headed up by Nathan Kelly, are already working on schedules, games and activities for summer. We are excited to be making some big additions to our high ropes course basically doubling the elements available and also making the course even safer and easier to accomplish for our campers. We have many building projects and improvements in the works also, our boys cabins will be getting all new mattresses and the boys shower house will be renovated with new walls, new shower stalls with changing room.
Fourth, Sacandaga Bible Conference operates on donations and gifts from individuals as well as facilitating guest groups from churches. During this time, we will now be in a really slow period of no guest groups coming in which also results in no income. We ask that you pray for Sac financially that we would have the needed funds as we work through this situation.
This summer we have an awesome line-up for children’s camp, a great list of musicians and guest speakers and we anticipate an incredible summer camp program. Thank you all for your continued support and prayers. We will continue to pray that things are back to normal for our summer season and will keep you updated of any changes. We are praying and looking forward to seeing you this summer!

Serving Christ,
David Spencer
